Fire Look to Maintain Momentum at Keiser and Warner

LAKELAND, Fla. – Southeastern women's basketball extended its win streak to double digits last week with consecutive wins 10 and 11 over Florida Memorial, 76-59, and Johnson & Wales 93-51. The Fire maintain the top spot in The Sun Conference as they sit at 7-1 and 16-3 overall. St. Thomas trails close behind at 6-1.

Christin Strawbridge led the Fire against Florida Memorial with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Her tenth double-double of the season is good for first in the conference. In the same game Strawbridge connected on nine of 11 attempts from the field and blocked six of the Lions' 62 shots. Alyssa Ramos followed up with 16 points and shot 50% from the field while Bailey Hooker contributed 14 points and a 4-for-5 effort from beyond the arc.

The Furnace proved too hot for Johnson and Wales on Saturday as the Fire walked away with a 42 point win, their largest margin of the season. This time it was Ramos who took over with the long ball. She was 4-for-4 in the first quarter alone and finished 5-for-5 from the same spot, 8-for-9 from the field, and claimed four of the Fire's 30 assists in just 21 minutes on the court. Ali Sanders backed her up with 17 points, eight boards, and nine assists. Hooker and Strawbridge were also double digit contributors with 14 and 13 points, respectively.

In two games, the Fire were .550 from the field and .442 from beyond the arc. They also racked up 49 assists on 61 field goals, and outrebounded opponents 90-72.
