In its first road conference game of the season, the Fire shot 54.1% from the field, and connected on 14-of-21 from 3-point range (66.7%) to come away with a 98-54 win over Johnson and Wales University.
Within three minutes, the Fire had amassed a 10-point advantage, leading 15-5. Six of those points were scored by
Christin Strawbridge, who finished with 14 points.
Southeastern closed the first half on a 6-0 run to take a 53-26 lead at the intermission.
The run continued into the second half, with SEU starting the second half on a 9-2 run to build a 34-point lead with 7:03 left in the third quarter. Six of those points came off the hands of
Alyssa Ramos, who scored a game-high 23 points, had five assists, and three rebounds.
SEU returns to action on Saturday when they host 20
th-ranked St. Francis at 1 p.m. at The Furnace.
