Box Score LAKELAND, FLA.-- The skid for the Southeastern men's basketball continues, as the Fire fell for the third straight game. The University of St. Francis Cougars beat the Fire by a score of 88-75.
The Fire (5-4) started out well, as they shot 56% as a team, including 4-10 from the arc.? Their lead extended to as much as 12, after
Elijah Ray scored with 9:51 left in the first half.
Caleb Konieczny scored 13 of his 16 points as well.
The 17th-ranked Cougars (8-3) couldn't miss in the second half, as their 3-point shooting got hot as they went 7-13 from the arc and 18-33 for the half.
Larry Taylor scored 15 points in the loss, while
Jake Hodges scored 14 and
Xavier Burrow 11.
Southeastern is back in action Thursday in Texas at the Assemblies of God Classic.
