Women's Soccer Rallies Past St. Thomas

Box Score
MIAMI GARDENS, FLA.-- The Fire were determined to do anything to end their two-game losing streak.  It took a second half comeback to take down the Bobcats of St. Thomas in a close Sun Conference contest.
"It was an amazing team effort.  We talked about how we need to play a full 90 minutes and that this game wasn't over yet.  I am so proud of them and how they fought today.  I'm so proud of how this team battled after being down one goal," said coach Renee Lopez.
The Bobcats took a 1-0 lead late in the first half and were outshot 16-8 for the game.  The Fire (7-3, 2-2 TSC) were able to bounce back thanks to Hunter Talley netting her second goal of the season during the 50th minute.
Karly Palmar scored her fourth goal of the year in the 82nd minute to give Southeastern its first and final lead of the game.
"We talked in pregame about the essence of being a Christian competitor is playing all out for 90 minutes and we did just that today," commented Lopez.
The Fire are back in action Saturday afternoon as they'll go back down to Miami to face Sun Conference rival Florida Memorial.  Game time is set for 2 p.m.
