Women’s Soccer Falls to Johnson & Wales

Box Score LAKELAND, Fla. – The Fire women's soccer team suffered their second consecutive Sun Conference loss this evening, falling to the Wildcats of Johnson and Wales, 1-0.

Southeastern dominated through 90 minutes, outshooting the Wildcats 25 to two, but the opposition found the net with their second attempt in the 83rd minute.

"It was a heartbreaking loss, especially when you outshoot a team 25-2 but hats off to Johnson and Wales in giving a full 90 minutes of effort," said Coach Renee Lopez. "We will learn from this and look ahead to making sure we have a full 90 minutes in us next game."

The Fire (6-3, 0-2 TSC) will continue TSC play on Wednesday as they hit the road to Miami Gardens for a matchup with St. Thomas University. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
