Box Score LAKELAND, FLA.-- It was tough sledding in the beginning, but the Southeastern University volleyball team got its act together to put the Webber International University Warriors away in four sets.

The Fire (15-7, 6-3 TSC) dropped the first set 25-23 before taking the next three sets by scores of 25-19, 25-17, and 25-17.

In the first set, the Warriors (7-13, 3-6 TSC) took a 3-2 lead and never relinquished it on their way to a first-set victory. The Fire trailed 24-19 and clawed their way back to make the game 24-23, but the Warriors escaped.

The third set was when the Fire started to take control. After the two teams tied the game at 10, SEU went on a 15-7 run and effectively deflated the hopes of the Warriors.

The decisive fourth set was more of the same.
Lydia Rooth earned four kills in the set as the Fire ended the match on a 6-1 run.

Trueheart finished with 16 kills, a block, and five aces. Rooth finished with 13 kills and an ace.
Toree Anderson had a solid outing as she recorded 11 kills and three blocks.
Lindsey Fleming had 37 assists.

The Fire are back in action Thursday as they host Warner University. Game time is set for 7 p.m. in the Furnace.
