Box Score LAKELAND, Fla. – Southeastern women's soccer snapped a two game losing streak this evening by defeating the Royals of Warner University 5-3.
Alyssa Kaminski scored twice before the four minute mark. The first was in the 3
rd minute from an
Elle Bruno cross then
Chloe Durham serviced the second in the 4
th.
Sydni Brookhouser came off the bench then found the back of the net three minutes later in the 26
th. She was assisted by
Bre Eldridge to help the Fire to a 3-0 lead.
The Royals narrowed the deficit to one with goals in the 26
th, just 19 seconds after Brookhouser's, and the 36
th, then
Shayna Cole made it 4-2 before half with an unassisted strike from 10 yards out.
The Fire's fifth and final goal was in the 49
th minute after a foul in the box put Eldridge on the penalty spot for her ninth goal of the season.
Warner's Jamie Murray netted her 14
th goal of the season in the 73
rd to put the final score on the board.
Sophomore keeper
Kaitlyn Romero made six saves on the evening and the Fire outshot the Royals 23-16.
The Fire will hit the road again on Saturday to take on the Warriors of Webber International. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Babson Park.
