"We got what we expected out of Ave Maria. They sat in a defensive shell a lot like Florida College did, but were a lot more physical," said Coach Bronson Gambale. "I'm proud of the girls for staying composed up against that type of play. We're looking forward to fixing some of our errors and getting to work for St. Thomas."
The Fire move to 7-5 on the season, 2-3 in conference play and await their next match on Thursday as they host St. Thomas at 3:00 p.m.
