Ryan Beatty joins the Southeastern football staff as Secondary and Special Teams Coach, bringing six years of collegiate coaching experience and a strong background in defensive back development and special teams coordination.
Beatty arrives at SEU after spending the past three seasons at Campbellsville as Defensive Backs Coach and Special Teams Coordinator. During his tenure with the Fighting Tigers, Campbellsville experienced significant program success, including an 8–3 season and NAIA playoff appearance in 2025, a 9–2 campaign in 2024, and a combined 21–11 record across that three-year stretch.
Beatty coached and developed the secondary through detailed technique work and film study while coordinating all phases of special teams, including return units, coverage schemes, and kicking operations. He contributed to weekly game planning, opponent scouting, and in-game adjustments while also playing a role in recruiting and athlete development.
Prior to Campbellsville, Beatty coached at Kentucky Christian University. He served as cornerbacks coach and later as special teams coordinator, helping engineer a major defensive turnaround. In his first season, the defense improved from allowing 59 points per game to just 21 while contributing to a 6–2 season—one of the best in program history. In year two, Kentucky Christian produced the NAIA’s top-ranked pass defense. On special teams, his units blocked seven punts and eight field goal or extra point attempts.
A Pasadena, California native, Beatty was a first-team all-league defensive back and Defensive Player of the Year at Alhambra High School. He began his collegiate playing career at East Los Angeles College before earning a scholarship to Belhaven University. At Belhaven, he became a full-time starter and served as a defensive backs captain his senior year, helping lead a top-ranked passing defense.
Beatty earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration from Belhaven University and later completed a master’s degree in Christian Leadership from Kentucky Christian University.
