B.J. Geasa was hired as the Head Athletic Trainer at Southeastern in 2018 after spending 12 years at Olivet Nazarene University. His position changed to Assistant Athletics Director - Sports Medicine in 2023.
Geasa was voted the 2020-21 Sun Conference Athletic Trainer of the Year and was also the NAIA Athletic Trainer of the Year that same year.
He currently serves on the NAIA-ATA Board of Directors (3rd year as Secretary) and is the Sun Conference AT Chair (six years).
Geasa oversees all Southeastern Fire student-athlete health care needs and works primarily with the Football, Cross Country, and baseball programs. He supervises and coordinates the university's secondary athletic accident insurance and drug testing policies.
While at ONU, Geasa was responsible for all 18 sports, with his main focus on football, baseball, and golf. He was also responsible for overseeing four other certified athletic trainers, budgeting for athletic training, and coordinating the secondary insurance policy for the University.
Additionally, he served as the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference's Athletic Trainer's Chair.
Geasa is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University (2003), and obtained a Master's in Health, Physical Education, and Sports Sciences from Morehead State University in 2005, where he served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer, working with volleyball, baseball, and football. During his time as an undergrad, Geasa interned with the Chicago Bears during training camp, assisting with daily treatments and taping, as well as assisting with injury evaluation and rehab.
B.J. and his wife, Chelsie, live in Lakeland with their children Van, Brynn, and Walker.
