LAKE WORTH, Fla. — Southeastern women's golf remained in third place after Monday's second round of the Sun Conference Championship, posting a 13-over 301 for a 36-hole total of 599 (+23) at Fountains Country Club.
Southeastern continues to trail SCAD Savannah (+13, 589) and Keiser (+18, 594), but maintains a firm hold on third entering the final round. The Fire remain well clear of the rest of the field, with a significant gap separating the top three from the remaining teams.
Through two rounds, Southeastern has leaned on balanced scoring and consistency, ranking second in the field in pars (112) and third in birdies (19). The Fire have also performed well across scoring categories, sitting third in par-3 scoring (3.35) and par-4 scoring (4.31), while ranking second in par-5 scoring (5.05).
Sadaly Campbell leads the Fire and sits second individually at 1-over 145 after a 1-over 73 in Monday's round. Campbell's steady play continues to anchor Southeastern, as she recorded 29 pars through 36 holes—most in the field—and ranks tied for second in par-3 scoring (even) while leading the tournament in par-4 scoring (even). Her round included birdies on holes 2 and 18, helping her maintain position near the top of the leaderboard.
Emma Tobias climbed into third place overall at 3-over 147 following a 2-over 74. Tobias continues to be one of the Fire's most productive scorers, ranking tied for fourth in both par-4 scoring (+1) and total birdies with six. Her round featured birdies on holes 5 and 15, offsetting a handful of bogeys to remain firmly in the top three.
Alejandra Cuellar also sits inside the top five, tied for fourth at 4-over 148 after a 74 in round two. Cuellar has been one of the most aggressive players in the field, leading the tournament in total birdies (seven) while ranking second in par-5 scoring (-2). She recorded birdies on holes 1 and 14 Monday but was slowed by a pair of double bogeys.
Abbey Peterson is tied for 21st at 17-over 161 after an 82, while
Savannah Thessing moved up four spots into 27th at 22-over 166 following an 80.
Individually, Yunyi Luo of SCAD Savannah leads the tournament at 3-under 141, holding a four-shot advantage entering the final round.
The championship concludes Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m., as Southeastern looks to close the gap at the top and secure a strong finish with multiple players in contention individually.
