Fire Athletics Weekly Preview

National championships, tournament softball, and a full home baseball slate highlight the week for SEU

LAKELAND, Fla. -- National championship competition highlights a busy week ahead for Southeastern Athletics as Fire teams compete across the country in golf, tennis, softball, baseball, esports, track & field, and wrestling. Multiple home events in Lakeland also headline the week's schedule.

Monday, March 2

The week begins with action on the course and at home on the diamond:
  • Women's Golf opens play at the Currahee Club Invite in Toccoa Falls, Ga.
  • Softball hosts No. 6 Grand View for a 12 p.m. doubleheader at the SEU Softball Field.

Tuesday, March 3

A full day of competition features several Fire programs:
  • Women's Golf concludes the Currahee Club Invite.
  • Men's and Women's Tennis face Davenport at 11:30 a.m. in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
  • Softball hosts Calumet College of St. Joseph for a 12 p.m. doubleheader in Lakeland.
  • Baseball takes on Dordt University in a doubleheader at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. in Auburndale, Fla.
  • Esports (Valorant) competes against Northwestern Oklahoma State University at 8 p.m.

Wednesday, March 4

Tennis and esports remain in action:
  • Men's and Women's Tennis host Walsh (Ohio) at 1 p.m. at the Beerman Family Tennis Complex.
  • Esports (Marvel Rivals) faces Albion College at 8 p.m.

Thursday, March 5

National championship season begins for multiple Fire programs:
  • Men's and Women's Track & Field open competition at the NAIA Indoor National Championships in Gainesville, Fla.
  • Wrestling begins competition at the NAIA National Championships in Wichita, Kan.
  • Baseball hosts Peru State College at 6 p.m. at Ted A. Broer Stadium.
  • Men's and Women's Tennis face Judson University at 6 p.m. in Orlando at the USTA Tennis Complex.

Friday, March 6

Championship events continue while softball opens tournament play:
  • Track & Field and Wrestling continue national championship competition.
  • Softball competes at the Gulf Coast Invitational in Gulf Shores, Ala., facing Campbellsville at 10 a.m. ET and Point at 12:15 p.m. ET.
  • Baseball hosts Peru State College at 2 p.m. in Lakeland.

Saturday, March 7

The week concludes with another full day of competition:
  • Track & Field and Wrestling wrap up national championship events.
  • Baseball closes its series against Peru State College with an 11 a.m. first pitch at Ted A. Broer Stadium.
  • Softball continues play at the Gulf Coast Invitational, facing Saint Ambrose at 12:15 p.m. ET and No. 12 Our Lady of the Lake at 2:30 p.m. ET.
