LAKELAND, Fla. -- SEU turns the page to December with a busy home slate on the hardwood and the mat, while both track & field programs hit the road for a key early-season test.
Thursday, December 4 – Men's Basketball Hosts Beacon College
The week begins inside The Furnace on Thursday, December 4, as SEU Men's Basketball welcomes Beacon College for a 7 p.m. tipoff in Lakeland.
The matchup gives the Fire another opportunity to build momentum on their home floor before the holiday break. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and bring the energy to one of the most unique environments in the NAIA.
Friday, December 5 – Track & Field Heads to Birmingham, Wrestling Opens Home Weekend
Both Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field will be in action all day Friday at the Birmingham Indoor Icebreaker in Birmingham, Ala. The meet provides another chance for the Fire to post strong early-season marks and continue to build depth across the sprint, jump, and throw groups against quality competition.
Back in Lakeland, SEU Wrestling takes center stage at The Fire Pit with a Friday evening doubleheader.
- At 3:30 p.m., the Fire open the night with a dual against Truett McConnell University.
- At 5 p.m., Southeastern squares off with No. 7 Oklahoma City University, giving the home crowd a marquee top-10 opponent to close out the evening.
The twin bill offers Fire fans a chance to see the lineup tested twice in one afternoon as Southeastern continues to sharpen for the heart of the season.
Saturday, December 6 – Southeastern Open at The Furnace
The week concludes with a full day of wrestling on Saturday, December 6, as SEU hosts the Southeastern Open beginning at 9 a.m. at The Furnace.
The tournament-style event will bring multiple programs to Lakeland and provide extended mat time for the Fire roster, from experienced returners to emerging newcomers. With action running throughout the morning and into the afternoon, the Southeastern Open gives fans another chance to support SEU Wrestling at home and experience a full day of college competition under one roof.
