TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- SEU Women's Cross Country standouts
Joslyn Armstrong and
Izzy Colebank closed their seasons on the national stage Friday, competing as individual qualifiers at the NAIA National Championship at Apalachee Regional Park.
Armstrong led the Fire contingent, placing 201st overall with a time of 23:51.5 in the 6-kilometer race. Making her first national appearance, Armstrong delivered a poised performance in the largest and most competitive field of the year. Her mid-race surge helped her finish strong among more than 330 of the NAIA's top runners.
Colebank, also earning an individual berth, finished 215th in 23:59.9, breaking the 24-minute mark once again this season. Colebank ran a steady, disciplined race, working her way through the pack in the final kilometer to secure her position.
Both athletes qualified for nationals based on their standout performances throughout the season and at The Sun Conference Championship, where each posted top-level results to earn their spots in Tallahassee.
The appearance marks a continued step forward for SEU Women's Cross Country, with both qualifiers set to return and strengthen a rapidly improving roster heading into 2026.
