LAKELAND, Fla.—Two goals by Matheus Santiago helped Bethel come away with a 3-1 win over Southeastern during the SEU Invitational on Thursday.
The Pilots outshot the Fire 6-5 and had five corner kicks to two by Southeastern.
Santiago scored in the 17
th and 24
th minute to take a 2-0 lead and a goal by Luan Bressy less than 90 seconds later made it 3-0.
Eric Ugarte picked up his first goal of the season, finishing a feed from
Uziel Hernandez to get the Fire on the board in the 74
th minute.
Southeastern returns to action on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. to take on Grace College.
