The Fire overcame a tough start in doubles' play, dropping the top two lines to concede the point.
Mia Dunagan and
Priscila Baptista earned a dominant 6-1 victory at line three.
A solid start to singles' play propelled the Fire to victory.
Baptista set the tone with a swift two set victory at line four, dropping just one game while tying up the match 1-1.
Beatrice Letizia put SEU ahead of PU with another two-setter at the top line, while
Abigail Damon grew the Fire advantage to 3-1 with a two-set victory at line six.
Gabby Marshall cemented the win for Southeastern, turning in a two-set winning performance at the fifth line.
Southeastern looks to carry momentum into a non-conference battle next Wednesday at the Beerman Family Tennis Complex, when they host NCAA Division II Walsh University. Match time is set for 1:00 p.m.
