LAKELAND, Fla.- After a solid all-around performance, the Southeastern University men's soccer team held the No. 4 ranked Keiser University to a 0-0 tie after regulation and two overtime periods.

The Fire advanced to 8-3-4 (2-2-2 TSC) on the season with the tie and managed to snap the Seahawk's streak of 18 consecutive Sun Conference regular season matches won.

In the first 45 minutes of play, the Seahawks got off 10 shots but could not make an adjustment after most shots soured high with the Fire getting off five shots.

Keiser had many chances to walk away with a victory before the end of regulation after 16 more shots in the second half.

The Fire had their best chance in the 96
th minute of play when
Ben-Avir Espinal got off a shot but was unable to break the tie after a save from the Keiser keeper which would go on to secure the 0-0 tie after another 10 minutes of no goal.

Curado ended the night with nine saves which tied his career high which also came against the Seahawks last season.

When asked about his performance, the senior keeper said, "Tonight was a collective effort. Everyone defended well and gave all that they had. They left their hearts on the field. Tonight was a huge confidence booster for our team."

Clay Roberts stated, "It was a fantastic effort from the team and gave us multiple chances to win with three one on one's with the goalkeeper. It's a great sign for us going into the later part of the season."

The Fire will next face off against Ave Maria University in an away match on Saturday at 1 p.m.
