LAKELAND, Fla.—In a match played to decision, Southeastern improved to 7-3-1 on the year with a 4-0 win over Judson University.
The Fire won the doubles point, getting a 6-1 win from
Sharienne Ricardo and
Angelique Myrtil at the top line, and a 6-0 victory from
Priscila Baptista and
Beatrice Letizia at Line 2 in their first performance together of the season.
Mia Dunagan and
Kishaundah Romain picked up their first win together, getting an 8-6 win in the tiebreaker to take the match 7-6.
Letizia earned her 10th win of the season in 12 matches, getting a 6-1, 6-0 victory at Line 2, and Myrtil was a 6-0, 6-3 winner at Line 3 to improve to 7-4 on the year. Baptista was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at No. 4 Singles to improve to 10-2.
The Fire will be back on the court on Friday against Point University.
