Solorzano Starts for Guatemala in Win Versus Honduras

PANAMA CITY, PANAMA- Southeastern University women's soccer forward Aisha Solorzano helped lead her home country to victory last night, as well as one step closer to an Olympic berth. Solorzano and Guatemala defeated Honduras 4-0 in their first Central America Group B match.

Solorzano got the starting nod in the win for Guatemala, who netted all four of its goals against Honduras in the second half. Gloria Aguilar, Marilyn Rivera, Yuvitza Mayen, and Kimberly Albeño were the goal scorers for Guatemala.

Solorzano and Guatemala take on host-nation Panama tomorrow night at 9:00 p.m. eastern. With a win, Guatemala would earn a place in the eight-team field of the 2020 CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Championship.
